Hi, my name is John Schneider and I am the name behind MageSolar. I have been around technology and innovation since I was a kid – my parents being science professors, I have obviously been exposed to the latest discoveries in this field. I grew up developing an interest in anything that involves futuristic technologies, from solar energy and space exploration to computer innovations – you name it! I grew up in a countryside farm in the middle of nowhere. We had everything at our fingertips and my parents often had to apply the innovations they worked with on our home. We were the first family in the area to have solar panels on our roof, so I was always attracted by how far solar energy can go. What else can the sun power? Why I started MageSolar The idea to share all these modern innovations is not new. I designed my first basic website on solar energy back in 2002, but of course, it was only a small project that only helped on a school class. I wrote various articles over the past years and got published by a few magazines, which fueled my ambition to share more of my knowledge. Just like everyone else, I made some good decisions in terms of purchasing modern gadgets, but I have also failed miserably with some of them. Even if you do have a clue about this field, it is still difficult to make a good choice when brands promise you the world. I cannot even imagine what the least experienced go through... I created MageSolar a few years ago in the attempt to introduce my readers to the beauty and efficiency of solar power. I know buying something or investing into a solar powered gadget could be daunting if you have no idea what you are doing, but there is nothing to be concerned about – I will do most of the work for you. My goal is to turn MageSolar into the most trusted website over the Internet for guides, ideas, suggestions and reviews related to solar powered devices. As it keeps growing, I am also bringing engineers (including my parents) to contribute and help with my reviews. What do I do at MageSolar? I am responsible for pretty much everything at MageSolar, from the actual website design to the development. I seek ideas, I try out products and I write reviews based on personal experience. There are times when I simply cannot get my hands on one thing or another – I research and use other professional reviews to gain some ideas about the respective products. I know some people might feel put off if they fail to understand something, but I want everyone to understand that solar energy is not difficult. It saves our planet and it saves us. It is simply the future. I also have a small editorial team behind my back to help with my posts – mostly the formatting part. If you find my posts easy to read and well structured, I owe it to my team.
